INTERNET OnLine now has more than 200,000 users for its dial-up services

PRAGUE, Jan 19 (PROTEXT) - In the course of this week, the division INTERNET OnLine, a part of CESKY TELECOM's branch unit e:tel, which provides both paid and free access to the Internet network, welcomed 200,000 users to its dial-up services. This significant growth is due mainly to QUICK.CZ - a service for free access to the Internet, which the company has been offering since 1 October 2000 and which users can access through the single nationwide number 0971103333. Those interested can register for paid dial-up connection services either directly on-line in the Internet environment through the page http://online.reg.iol.cz/ or through using the IOL TOP registration set, which is on sale. This can be obtained in, for example, any shop of the companies Comfor and AutoCont. An extra bonus included with this set is free installation according to the customer's requirements. Taking into account the fact that the prognoses are being confirmed concerning the growing importance of the Internet to Czech people, INTERNET OnLine has also established professional assistence for all those requiring advice on the choice, implementation or operation of dial-up connection services and also, when needed, for further types of connection available. This was available from as early as last year, as part of raising the quality of services on offer. In June 2000, the first Call centre with a web interface in the Czech Republic was put into operation, offering customers a range of unconventional services accessible directly through the Internet, as well as all the usual services for a telephone centre. Examples of these services include requesting operator support in the form of Call back at an appointed time, online chat with the operator, looking through internet pages together and together filling out the forms directly on www.iol.cz. The IOL Call centre, which is available to customers 24 hours a day, also enables detailed statistics and analysis of incoming calls and monitoring of the number of users. During the final quarter of last year, there were on average approximately 68,000 customers served every month. The most frequent questions concerned basic information about e-mail accounts and program settings. You can find all further information concerning all the INTERNET OnLine services at the address www.iol.cz. If you wish to contact us by telephone, please dial the telephone number 0800/840184 for IOL paid for services.
